How This Affects Our Editorial Content

It doesn't change what we recommend — or at least, that's our policy and we take it seriously.

We only feature hotels, tours, and services that we would recommend regardless of commission. Every article on this site includes honest assessments: the ChooseBox "avoid" sections exist because a bad recommendation helps nobody, including us. Commission from a booking that disappoints our readers costs us more in trust than it earns in revenue.

We do not accept payment to feature, positively review, or rank any hotel, restaurant, tour operator, or service. Editorial decisions are made independently of affiliate relationships.

What We Don't Do

  • We don't use generic search-redirect affiliate links that don't point to specific products
  • We don't inflate ratings or hide negative information to protect affiliate income
  • We don't create content whose primary purpose is to generate clicks rather than inform readers
